The Battle of Blore Heath

Two seasoned commanders, leading as many as 10,000 troops, met on
the battlefield of Blore Heath, England on 23 September 1459 in one of the first battles of the
Wars of the Roses. Both Lord Audley (James Touchet), 5th Baron of Audley and Heighley Castle,
and Richard Neville, Earl of Salisbury fought, each defending the claim to the English throne.
