I am a descendant of James Touchet (b.abt.1398), Lord Audley, 5th Baron of Audley and Heighley Castle.
Lord Audley was in command
of approximately 10,000 troops defending the throne of King Henry VI and Queen
Margaret of Anjou against the Yorkists at the battle
of Blore Heath (first major battle of the Wars of the Roses) in England,
on 23 September 1459, when he was killed in battle. Also
lost that day was Sir Thomas Dutton who was Lord Audley's
son-in-law married to Audley's daughter Ann. Sir Thomas Dutton's brother
John and his son Peter were killed that day
as well. The daughter of Sir Thomas Dutton and Ann Touchet, Elizabeth, who married Ralph
Bostock, is the ancestor
of the late Diana Spencer, Princess of Wales. Above, left, is my personal coat-of-arms and, right, my personal
flag.
